Since today is Friday 13th and I’ve been doing health stories all week (except for that snake in the pants thief post I did the other day. Man that is still giving me chills) I thought I’d do a couple of warm news stories that caught my eye featuring dogs. Earlier today I talked about Chrissy the puppy that was stolen and found some 650 miles and 18 months later. Now I want to share with you the tale of Daisy the life saving black lab.
Until Wednesday morning Daisy was just another pet to the Ramirez family of Radcliff, Ky. Then a hot plate started a fire in the Ramirez’s home and Daisy became a hero. “She bit me on the leg and I opened my eyes really fast and seen flames just coming towards me from the kitchen and I just ran and got the boys” says Kathryn. Apparently Daisy (a gift from Kathryn’s mother) had never shown any signs of being aggressive until the fire broke out engulfing the home in flames and endangering Kathryn’s two small boys. “She's very gentle and she loves hugs and loves kisses. She's a very cuddly dog” With everything in her home destroyed Kathryn is just relieved to be alive adding “I think God gave me an angel five years ago and she saved my life yesterday. That house isn't what is my home. The only thing I need to have a home is these two boys and my dog and my home's wherever I make it."
Now if that’s not a perfect way to end the week than I don’t know what is…..
