Hilton Wants Your Pets

Earlier in the week we brought the story of the Melrose pet store that refused to sell Paris Hilton a Yorkshire Terrier due to the feeling that it was too much of an impromptu purchase for the hotel heiress and that the animal might be in some type of danger if sold. Now comes word that another Hilton is making the news with a story regarding just who is allowed in their hotels.

For those of us who travel on a regular basis one of the hardest decisions to make is what show be done about leaving the family pet.  Should you leave extra food and water and hope they don’t spill either by the time you get back in town? Should you make a few calls and arrange someone to come by once a day to check on it? Maybe it would just be easier to drop it off at a local vets office or pet salon where it can be picked up when you are back in town? Forget all this worrying and uncertainty! Hilton Hotels want your pets to stay with them.

That’s right Hilton Hotel’s are pet friendly!! In addition to allowing guests bring their dogs and stay in the room with them, the popular hotel chain is even offering amenities to encourage people to bring their pets. Organic treats, bio-degradable litter bags, travel totes, mini bottles of disinfectant, deodorizer, and stain cleaner (especially formulated for pets) along with their very own Hilton pet collar are all offered as part of the hotel chains pet policy. Wanna take your pet for a walk once you arrive? Hilton even offers pet owners directions to local walking trails, groomers, and veterinarians just in case of emergency. Plus you get a nifty pet bowl, place mat, and exclusive Hilton Crypton Clean Pet Pillow as a special thank you for your visit.

Obviously you don’t want to stay in a room whose previous tenant was some dude and his over weight St. Bernard. To make sure that nothing is left behind in terms of foul smells and icky stains, Hilton hotels thoroughly scrub each room once a pet leaves. By using industrial strength vacuums and cleaners especially designed to remove pet stains, the agency let it be known that they are tired of you not enjoying your vacation because you’re worried about your furry friends at home. Now thanks to this new program the entire family can enjoy a trip to some far off destination.
