I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have one of those big dogs like a St. Bernard or a Great Dane, but like most I’m too afraid I’ll come home one day to find that man’s best friend has eaten my couch. I guess I could leave one outside, but I just find that keeping a pet inside is a lot more relaxing and it has been my experience that they have fewer medical problems. Recently I discovered the answer to my doggie daydreams in the form of a daycare service that allows people to drop of their pups five days a week without having to deal with all that goes into allowing one to roam inside all day.
Doggie Daycares are sweeping the country and can be found in most large cities. For $18.00 a day (which is just about what it costs for a child to attend daycare) doggie daycares offer pet owners a place to drop off their animals so they can spend the day with other pets under the supervision of qualified trainers. Pups are taken outside for a few hours, get a chance to enhance their social skills, and are guaranteed to get plenty of exercise. A variety of things are taught including potty training, how to calm down and not be as hyperactive, and obedience techniques. During the day while you’re sweating away at the office, you can relax knowing your pet is swimming with his/her buddies, hanging out on the playground, and taking a nap with friends.
I know for some this may seem like a silly idea, but if you think about it we treat our pets like children anyways so why not go all the way. Besides doggie daycares are able to give your pets the love and support they demand so that you can continue to work to make their lives easier.
