Having a large pet inside is nothing new. In terms of dogs Golden Retrievers, St. Bernard’s, Doberman Pinchers, and even Huskies can get rather large if you feed them enough, but what about an inside pet that weighs over 306 pounds!! That’s exactly how much one UK family pet has managed to make it to; of course it’s not your typical pet. Instead of a dog, cat, or even a parakeet David Palmer of Cardiff is the proud owner of a lamb by the name of Nick Boing. The lamb was rescued by David as a newborn and at one time shared a bed with him until eventually moving to a bungalow in the back of the property. At first David and his family of three tried everything they could to find their little lamb a suitable home, but soon found themselves too fond of the animal to give it away. “Caroline had a baby bottle left from when Nathan was little so we fed him some milk and within an hour he was running around. He's more intelligent than your average sheep that's stuck in a field. He's in the house and in the car and meeting people over the park and around the village. He's part of the family.”, says David.

Now obviously there are a few things you need to know before just rushing out to find a pet lamb of your own, first off is the smell. While David admits that the animal more than likely smells up the joint, he insists that eventually you get used to it. Second there all that hair to deal with. Once a year Nick the sheep has to be sheered in order to get the mountains of hair off of it; a process that takes almost an entire day from start to finish. And last but not least if you do decide that a pet sheep is just the animal you can’t live without, you need to know that it loves a healthy diet of daytime television. “He comes in every evening, head-butts the cushions off the settee and watches TV,” says Palmer
