It’s hard to think about ten years ago and imagine life with out some of the things we take for granted nowadays. The iPod, giant flat screen televisions, Tivo, GPS systems in our cell phones….these are all things we swear we can’t live without and yet once upon a time we seemed to have survived without them. As the world shrinks and technology grows in leaps and bounds, it appears that all these new gadgets may be life savers for us humans but could also be life enders for many of our pets. In a recent survey of 3,000 pet owners the UK animal insurance company PetPlan discovered received some amazing results that are leaving many wondering just how a Playstation could harm a kitten.

Looking at this list it’s hard to understand just how any of these could be dangerous to anyone or anything thing. I mean once you take away the always existing possibility they could be ingested….how else could animals be getting hurt by these gadgets? Is it possible that bad karaoke is causing our cats to go deaf? That hamsters are jumping off their exercise wheels because the got a glimpse of our iPod Best Of Polk playlist?
