Get Your Daily Dose Of Cute With The Puppy Cam From Ustream

You’re at the office, it’s 3 in the afternoon, it’s a cloudy day outside and if you’re lucky enough to even have windows the time change only makes the day feel even longer than it already is. You long to be outside. To be free of the grays and the whites of your cube farm. To feel a nice breeze maybe hear a dog bark or watch a puppy at play…..well maybe I can help make at least one of those wishes come true. In case you haven’t heard there’s a new internet sensation taking the world by storm and with over 4 million hits in the past week alone it’s something you just got check out.

What could possibly be bringing that much attention to one site? A secret web cam from inside the Oval Office? Video of Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Anniston duking it out once and for all? More video of Tina Fey acting like Sarah Palin? Nope not even close. Believe it or not the latest thing to capture the spotlight of a millions of viewers each week is….puppies. Six cute cuddly adorable and fun loving Shiba Inu puppies. The cam was originally set up to allow their San Francisco based owners (who have chosen to remain anonymous) a way to keep track of what their pups are up to and ensure their safety. Pretty soon though as word spread, the site which allowed the couple to keep an eye on their puppies known as Ustream couldn’t help but pass on the link to the live feed  they had found right under their noses.

Originally created as a way for soldiers and their families to communicate via web cam, the guys from Ustream recently told the Today show of their web sensation “It started out in the Ustream offices, our employees found the puppies when they only had one or two viewers. We fell in love with them, we forwarded them to our friends and our friends forwarded it to their friends. The next thing you know mothers were forwarding it to daughters and daughters were forwarding it to mothers. Over four million people in the last week have tuned in to watch.”  Plus it seems that the puppies are actually helping in the healing process of several patients in hospitals across the country. “We’ve received a number of e-mails from people who are in hospitals battling various diseases who have told us that they look to the Shiba Inu Puppy Cam as a way to liven up their spirits.”

In what can only be described as the ultimate at work stress reliever, the pups are now popping up on office monitors world wide as employees take a break and watch the puppies play. Unfortunately for the thousands sending in requests to adopt one if not all of the puppies, they are all spoken for and in three weeks will be living in homes somewhere in the San Francisco area. Fear not though according to the sites owner “The adorable little guys are all going to great homes here in about three weeks, and we’re actually going to send webcams with them so we can follow them through the internet in their new homes.”
